What a fantastic story! This was so very involving, and so very well told, from the plot to the pacing to the characterizations. I very much enjoyed all of its creepiness, and wow, was the villain well crafted. And the family dynamics were wonderful -- I loved everyone’s interactions, but especially Dean and Sam’s. I adored Dean being so determined to protect everyone and Sam being so determined to help Dean even when Dean tells him to back off. And I loved watching Dean with Allie and Charlie. And speaking of those kids … I can’t help but think of how they’ll be affected by the events in this story. Allie and Charlie both had to do and see things kids their age shouldn’t, and they’re growing up too fast, and it makes me sad. But I’m proud of them, too, for taking such good care of their family.

Before I quote favorite lines, I just have to mention how much I liked the details throughout this piece, like Dean cataloguing the skeleton in his house, bone by bone, or taking in his whereabouts when he wakes after being taken to the basement; Sarah closing the office door while Dean and Sam talk shop; Christo being such an awesome guard dog when they needed it most; Charlie reverting to thumbsucking. These touches really struck me while reading. Nicely done!

Overall: A big thumbs up. Truly outstanding work here.
