I'm not a huge fan of AU. I think there is enough in the existing 'verse to write about. And, honestly, not a lot of fic authors handle AUs that well. It's more their wish fulfillment than good story writing.
However, I adore the Salvation AU. A lot. More than chocolate and oxygen. You've created an AU that is so authentic and true to these characters, while building other interesting characters around them, that sometimes, I read and can't breathe. From what I understand, breathing is good.
Especially when you write utterly perfect sentences like this;
"His adorable, strawberry blonde, fearless slice of his soul is missing."
I love all the kids, but especially Charlie. She is so much Dean's little girl it's a little spooky. I hope this 'verse continues to nag and pester you forever.
