Very intriguing. I liked how you wove little hints of how the supernatural works into the story--bits like the hunters being God's defense troops, the tattoo being an actual symbol of power, etc. I'm a huge sucker for world-building, and I love seeing little glimpses of the 'rules', so to speak.
(Also loved the characterization and descriptions, but like I said, world-building is my obsession.)
