How do you fight psychic/empathic creatures? Put them up against someone suicidal. 0_o!!
I like that Dean is a hunter, is a *professional* at that, that he can close himself off, have that inner core, due to that training - layers (like an onion). It reminded me of Rattlesnake Smile (which is intended to be a compliment to both fics), a different take on a similar theme and - awesome, just awesome.
I like in this one that... Dean is in a different head space afterwards, one that takes him time to get back from, one that he can't see his little brother and actually maintain. It makes me wonder how John could have done it, around either of his boys (one reason they're his weaknesses - hey, see what you've made me do? I'm already including this into my personal canon!). It just seemed that realistic (uh, in the context of the show? *lol!*), believable, especially the emotional backlash afterwards, I can kinda relate. :)
